THE SPRING 2020 COLLECTION
The Spring 2020 collection is completely void of gender.
The collection plays into the brand ethos of offering separates that can be worn neutrally by both genders without sacrificing brand identity and integrity.
The works of Japanese-American architect, artist, and industrial designer Isamu Noguchi and French furniture designer and interior designer Pierre Paulin influence the mood, forms and colour palette of the collection. Much of Noguchi’s work is featured in public park spaces near or around beaches and in urban centres and is informed by shape and texture using core neutrals. The Spring 2020 collection uses a neutral palette of white, sand, black, and stone, and is accented by pops of colour and texture similar to those often found in Noguchi’s work. Textured Linen blends in Citron, subtle mother of pearl buttons, flecks of fuchsia, and tonal embroidery play into the visceral aim of the collection. The brand logo gets a fresh treatment by taking on amoebic forms that play into the architectural movement known as ‘Blobism’, and directly influenced by Paulin.
The exploration of convertible pieces that offer more than one aesthetic appeal and function mirrors the genderless approach of the label; the flexibility of choice and opportunity.
